To do this, all you need is a pot to boil water in, a stove, water, measuring spoons, table salt, and a thermometer. Start by boiling two cups of water in a pot on the stove. Once it's been boiling for a minute or two put the thermometer in and record the highest temperature reading. Then use the measuring spoons and add one tablespoon of table salt to the boiling water. Stir it well and then put the thermometer in again, once again recording the highest temperature reading. Next, add one more tablespoon of table salt. Stir it well and record the highest temperature.
You can continue adding tablespoons and recording the temperatures a few more times if you'd like. Be sure to record your results in a graphical presentation. A chart would help with this so you can accurately show how adding salt affects the boiling temperature of the water. It should include variables such as how much salt you should add if you need the water to reach a certain temperature.
