Kids Science Projects Made Fun and Easy [sciencetechnology-center.blogspot.com]

There are a lot of great kids science projects that are fun to try. Physical science, Biology and Astronomy are fun categories for kids to experiment with. A good kids science experiment is to see which taste ants are more attracted to; plain water, sugar water, or salt water. To do this you can gather a bunch of ants, likely from your own backyard or sidewalk near your house and put them into a small aquarium. Get two bowls and in the first bowl make a mixture of sugar and water. In the second bowl make a mixture of table salt and water. Then you can use an eye dropper to put some sugar water into one corner of the aquarium, and salt water into another corner. Then put some plain water in one of the other corners. Make sure you don't put too much water into each corner as you don't want to drown the ants.

Observe the ants for a while and see which water they go to most. Do they prefer the sugar water, salt water or plain water? You could also try kids science pr ojects with different types of food such as cheese, bread and jam and see which kind of food the ants prefer eating. Make sure you only use small amounts of food in the aquarium or they're going to grow mold because ants don't eat too much, even if you have a lot of ants you'll only want to put in a few crumb size pieces of food at a time.
