Win the Science Fair! [sciencetechnology-center.blogspot.com]

A lot of kids (and parents) dream of winning the science fair. The prestige that comes with the prize is something that will not only bring your child pride, but believe it or not it helps when filling out college applications too! Not that award winning science fair projects will give your child an instant ticket into the ivy leagues, but consistent science fair winners often go to better schools. It could be because they become more motivated to study, and it could also be because schools like accepting children who have show potential.

In order for you and/or your child to win the science contest, especially if its the first one, then there is a lot that needs to be done. The first step to winning the fair is to strategize! Read the instructions for the science fair contest carefully, making sure you know what your parameters are. Many times, very good projects lose because they go overboard or missed out on some of the details of the rules. If you notice, all award winning science projects are fantastic and brilliant, but are even more so because they stay within certain parameters. Make sure you know the rules of the fair you are joining, and stick to it!

Next, study old award winning projects. You can get some great inspiration from old projects. Sometimes, expounding on a project, or answering a question in the recommendations section of the study will lead you to creating an award winning project for you and your child! Look back at past winners, but not the ones that won recently. Go back to science fair records of at least six years past and see how you can tweak the winning projects into better ones that can once again vie for the prize!

Finally, make it a project anyone can do. One of the best ways to teach anything is to make it easy and accessible to almost anyone. The award winning science projects are the ones that use things you can get from around your home. Being able to recreate a science project at l ow cost is a great factor because that means that schools have the possibility of using the project demonstration in class, and it also means parents can help their children with it, and maybe teach younger siblings as well!

Question by . ǝʞɐןɟ-uɹoʞ .: How does science and religion work in Iran? According to wikipedia "Iran has the fastest scientific growth rate in the world today.[202]" Iran is noticeably one of the most religious countries in the world today. Religious doctrine through Islam holds a large amount of power in their government "if their government isn't completely dominated by Islam". The government funds scientific development. In the West for some reason science and religion clash bitterly. Islam is arguably more radical in terms of religious beliefs than Christianity which dominates the West. How does science not clash with religion in Iran? India also has a very fast growth in science and technology and most of the population is religious in some way. How does the science there not clash with religion? Why does religion and science clash so fiercely in the West? Most notable and credible scientist in the West are Atheists, Agnostics, Pantheists, or are in some other way non-religious/spiritual. Most if not nearly all scientist in Iran are Muslim. Idk actual numbers/percentages about Indian scientist but I would imagine most to be at least spiritual in some way. Maybe do you think that in Iran are those scientist just non-religious/spiritual but they just hide it from the government so they are not persecuted? Or do they really believe in some spiritualist belief of some form? What about all the other religious scientist around the world? Why do they believe in anything that has no proof or credible evidence of it's existence? Is it not true that most scientist will not believe in an idea that can not be explained or can't be tested? Best answer for How does science and religion work in Iran?:

That's a good question. If they're smart they just ignore any discrepancies. From anything I've heard the growth is government promoted but I don't know the details. Are we talking engineers and medicine where you can get away with bluffing the theory, or potentially blasphemous sciences like physics and biology?
