Question by : What non science degree can I get that has most of the pharmacy school prerequisites? I want to go to pharmacy school in a few years but I don't want to major in science. Is there any other major besides a science major that I could major in that would have most of the pharmacy prerequisites? I'm not interested in having any other job with a science degree so I don't want to be stuck with a science degree if I don't go to pharmacy school. Typical pre-pharmacy required courses include general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, calculus, statistics, physics, English. Some pharmacy schools also require psychology or economics too. There is no non-science major that requires all those courses. Get your Bachelor's degree in the major that you will find most useful as a backup. Then make sure you take all the required pre-pharmacy classes as additional classes to your major.

NONE. You'll need all the science as prereqs anyway, they are specific requirements, and the Pharm schools won't consider you without them. You have to take Biochem, Organic I & II, Inorganic chem I & II, Physics, Stats, Calculus, Algebra, Trig, Microbio, Anatomy & Physiology, etc. Plus the PCAT.
