Medical schools are looking for well-rounded, interesting people. It would be a pretty boring place if everyone was a biology major. More important than the specific degree is the extra-curricular stuff you do in addition to your course work that makes you unique like research, community service, and recreational activities. Choose a major that interests you because you will likely do better in something you enjoy learning about than in something you force yourself to do. Cover the prerequisite courses required by medical schools, do well on your MCAT, pursue things you are interested in and you will be just fine. Good luck!

Any major is fine - it doesn't need to be science. About half the people who get into med school every year didn't major in a science at all. Pick one you'd be happy getting a job with or going to grad school with if you don't end up getting into med school. But whatever you major in, ta ke the premed classes.
