the discovery of blood transfusion was a great milestone for medical discoveries. another one was the discovery of penicillin (antibiotics) but it doesn't work as many wonders today as it did before because a lot of diseases built a resistance to it. the syringe was another milestone because they could inject vaccines or IV's into someone.
