While the term information science encompasses a broad field, computer information science schools are designed to focus the information science education within the realm of computer information systems. Computer information technician training can teach you to be an expert in collecting, classifying, storing, retrieving and disseminating all sorts of vital data and information.

Of course, there are numerous computer fields open to the aspiring computer technician today, and information science is just one of the branches you could choose to study. But, once you have a degree from one of the computer information science schools in the US or Canada, you will be ahead of the curve when it comes to finding employment in the field. Human resource managers overwhelmingly prefer candidates with a diploma or degree in computer information science over applicants with little or no formal education.

The best schools provide several levels of training in computer in formation systems. Some will offer professional certification in one or more areas of computer sciences, which are a great way for working professionals to brush up on their skills and for beginners to start out. Some colleges will offer the Associate Degree (AS) and the Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (BS); either would give you a very good overview of the field.

Graduate degrees in computer information science are also available for those who wish to further their education. At the Master Degree (MS) and Doctorate (PhD) levels, your studies will be intensified, and will most likely branch out into other areas of computer science, such as networking, programming, and computer languages. When researching colleges and universities, realize that they all have their own particular curriculums, and it is wise to look into all the specifics before you enroll in any computer information course.

In short, can you even imagine what the modern world would be like with out computer information technicians to manage all that data? If you would like to get in on the trend, we invite you to submit a request to a few selected computer information science school [http://www.schoolsgalore.com/categories/2/computer_information_science_schools.html] on our website today, and get started on a new and exciting future.

Question by : How many colors should my science fair display board have? I read somewhere that you should only have 2 colors on your science fair board, but I want to make it colorful. So far, I have just done the title which is blue, yellow, and a little bit of salmon (all bright neon colors) Should I just stick with teal and yellow, or can I use electric green and orange as well? Will that make it look to overwhelming? I am in 9th grade, by the way. Best answer for How many colors should my science fair display board have?:

Answer by ╪Jessica╪
Make it colorful! 2 colors is boring...

I am also in 9th grade and doing a science fair display! Use a lot of colors, but not in an elementary-like way. For example, keep borders of your pictures the same color, the paragraphs the same color as each other, but not everything the same color. Does that make sense? Keep it colorful just dont use the colors in a childish way.

You 'should' use color to transmit information. While I do not agree that you should be limited to only two colors (since by definition nothing extra can be relayed to reader if its only text color and background color (of course, you have size, font, style, etc. still left to play with). OTOH - doing your title in more than one color (without seeing it - YMMV) seems wrong to me. It seems gimmicky and conveys a lack of ability to communicate clearly and succinctly. Colors should add information or emphasis and not substitute for lack of the right word. Take a look on Yahoo, YouTube or CNN (and almost all of the rest). NONE of them use multi colored titles. So, I am confident that (if I understand you correctly) you are going the wrong direction. Highlighting a word or two in the summary or conclusions in different colors, especially if it helps to link various places on the poster makes sense. But multiple colors can confuse and dilute impact as well was focus attention. How much sugar, flour, ginger, frosting do you put on your steak? BTW it is "too overwhelming" not "to overwhelming" and you meant (and should have written) "make it visually overwhelming".

Keep it simple :) The colors must not outshine the content of your work. I'm contented with 2.

It depends on what information you want to get across and to whom. Too many colours, and you lose the audience, Not so much overwhelm, as not giving the readers anything to grab the attention. It's fine for primary school children to have lots of colour, since they need the colour to attract their attention, but starting in 9th grade, you want to play the colours down. Neon-type colours need to be replaced by distinct (and controlled) colours - they're harder to read, and under-12's are notorious for reading very little, while over 14's tend to think of bright colours as childish.

Too many colors makes the presentation look confusing and cheap... Yellow is a terrible color to use if the background is white...

Answer by mareeclara
It does depend a lot on your display. There are lists of colours that work well together. I remember hearing that yellow and black are eye catching and makes the black stand out (of course you will have white paper as well and with a black background it does pop). If you have lots of photos, you might want to consider having a less dramatic colour combination as you can add pops with the photos. If you are doing something with colours then I could see how you can have more colour. Too much stuff going on makes it a bit cheap looking and busy, when it is what is written is more important that the display.

Have all the colors!
