In the world of today, technology rules and older more traditional ways of doing things have taken a backseat to the use of computers and the new technologies of the world. Because of this fact, the most useful major for a student of today is one that will ultimately influence the future, Computer Science.
Computer Science is one of the newer majors in the world, mostly because of the rapid advancement of technology of the generations. Computer Science is the present and the future; it is the study of the information and the computations of today's technology. Because it is so new, it incorporates a large number of smaller fields of study such as computer graphics but it also deals with more computing problems such as computational complex theory. The bottom line is that it is what will lead the world into a new age of better technology and a world in which difficult things can be done with great ease.
Computers are the future of the world. Everything is ge tting smaller, but they are also becoming more powerful, more mobile, smarter and easier for the public to use. Almost all those things have to do with Computer Science. Scientists must understand how those things work, how to make them more accessible, how to make them more powerful, and most of all how to improve on a previous work. Cell phones are a perfect example of the rapid evolution of the phone. In the span of my lifetime, 17 years, the phones have from in cars, to portable, to the size of regular phones, to smaller than a regular phone, to thinner, to more powerful, to browsing the internet, and to Bluetooth. All these things, happened in less than 15 years, imagine 15 years from now? How will phones and cars and computers be then? Only the works of Computer Scientists truly tell how far these things can be taken. Without science the world fails to improve technologically. The computer that is stronger and smarter than the human brain, will never be created, cars p lanes and other vehicles fail to get better to help the environment, economy, and everything in between. More advanced machines for medical purposes will never be created, and the current ones never improved. The progression of man will stop. Computer Science is the way of the future.
Computer Science is simply the most important and useful major to humanity today and in the future. Computers have come of age in our generation and humanity should also come of age in this computer generation. Humans are at their best when dealing with computer science, because when one is working on computer science, he or she is working on their future, and the future of families and humans everywhere.
